Barbados Port Inc. (BPI) today announced that a section of the Lewis/Wickham Boardwalk in Bridgetown will be closed for refurbishment from Monday, June 27, 2016, for a period of six to eight weeks, to allow contractors, PNC Construction and Equipment Rentals Inc., to do refurbishment work on a section of the boardwalk, between the lift bridge and the lights by Cheffette Restaurants.

 

Bridgetown -- Consumers’ Guarantee Insurance Co. Limited (CGI) has again shown its support for the development of Barbadian youth by donating the first prize of a tablet to the lucky winner of the Hindsbury Primary School’s ‘Speak Off’ competition.

Australia’s High Commissioner and Ambassador to CARICOM, John Pilbeam, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Barbados Olympic Association Inc. (BOA) to launch that country’s new initiative ‘Schools Connect’ which promotes the 2018 Commonwealth Games being hosted in Gold Coast Australia from April 4 – 15, 2018 .

Bridgetown – Bayview Hospital has partnered with Republic Bank to launch a unique new credit card initiative to assist patients with their medical expenses. It is the first time in Barbados that a bank and a medical institution have teamed up to provide patients with a special card facility to cover fees relating to procedures conducted at the Hospital.
