The Barbados Port Inc. (BPI), in collaboration with its South American sister port, Manzanillo International Terminal (MIT), hosted a best practices in Customer Service Workshop for employees from across the organization. Approximately 32 BPI employees participated in the four-hour workshop, held at the Cave Hill School of Business, UWI.
The Caribbean Corporate Governance Institute (CCGI) hosted their workshops for senior managers and directors on July 14 & 15 at the Hilton Barbados Hotel. The workshops are designed to help executives navigate the corporate governance landscape to effectively guide their organisations for the benefit of shareholders, the business and society. Persons who attended began the process toward attaining the Chartered Director Designation.

(BOA) this week hosted a High-Performance Workshop at the Barbados Beach Club for local athletes heading to this year’s Pan American Games in Toronto, and Youth Commonwealth Games in Samoa. The goal of the workshop was to help prepare the athletes mentally for the rigors of these games.

(BOA) will host two high-level meetings this month, the Olympic Solidarity Workshop and the Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees (CANOC) General Assembly. The meetings take place at the Hilton Barbados Resort from October 14-17, 2014.
Bridgetown – Bayview Hospital has a new ambulance service operating from its premises from 8am to 8pm. The Hospital, which recently celebrated its 25th Anniversary, has partnered with Medic Response to dispatch a dedicated ambulance from its St. Paul’s Ave, Bayville facility.
