Jammin Enhances Tourism Product

The local tourism sector received a major boost recently with the launch of Barbados newest catamaran, Jammin where featured speaker at the launch, Deputy Chairman of the Barbados Tourism Authority Mr. Austin Husbands, said that the sailing service was integral to Barbados' tourism product.

Mr. Husbands expressed the support of the Barbados Tourism Authority for initiatives such as Jammin Catamaran Cruises, highlighting that the biggest foreign exchange earner was the tourism industry. Jammin's business strategy targets both locals and tourists. They have designed an exciting island experience through sailing that is attractive to visitors but is creative enough to capture the imagination of locals.

They have already started to carve a niche in the leisure market. Employing eight full-time staff, the Catamaran also generates income for a number of local suppliers, from caterers and entertainers to marketers and accountants.

According to Jammin's captain, Roger Kelly, The vessels modern features and friendly crew makes it the best choice for on the sea fun. He said that all of the cruises have delectable buffet meals and a well stocked bar. In the water activities include swimming with the turtles, snorkeling, fishing and diving. Jammin#8217 also offers custom designed cruises to meet the discerning tastes of our guests.

Jammin arrived on the island two months ago from the US Virgin Islands. To date, they have hosted over 40 cruises, most of which have been fully booked.
