Waterhall Undefeated

Waterhall narrowly defeated Wintershall in the opening match last Sunday at Apes Hill in the Digicel 8 goals match up, 6 goals to 5.

In the opening match the Rugby team got past Waterhall 7-3.
Juan Casero (0) led the way for Rugby with a beaver trick which is equivalent to a hat trick in cricket, with three goals coming in the final chukka, Jeff Evelyn (1) chipped in with two while Simon Holly (0) scored one.

For Waterhall, Pablo Casero (1), Nico Roberts (0) and Oliver Williams (0) had a goal each.

In the feature match-up Wintershall out of England went down to the Digicel Waterhall squad 6-5.

Danny Atwell opened the scoring for Waterhall in the first chukka, with Patron, Edward Hutley (1) equalising soon after for Wintershall, wife Lulu was unable to play after sustaining an injury
to her back.

The game was kept tight throughout with Danny Atwell (4) finishing with a beaver trick and Jamie Dickson (4) scoring a
goal to seal the deal for Waterhall.

For Wintershall professionals Jack Kidd (4) and Ross Ainsley(5) were the other goal scorers.

Simon Holley who has been playing in Barbados for the past seven years said that “Waterhall was the most beautiful place on the island to play polo and that he was fortunate to have played with the
legendary Sir Charles Williams.”

The series continues on Thursday and Saturday at the same venue.
