Waterhall Polo Club hosts Wintershall (UK)

Waterhall Polo Club will be looking for redemption against UK side Wintershall when the Digicel 10 goals, three match series gets started at Apes Hill this Sunday, April 6. The Waterhall Polo field was blistering last Sunday with the 16 goal match up of Ocho Rios vs Custodian and the man versus machine novelty race between the legendary Sir Charles and brother Bizzy Williams whose company, Williams Industries Limited was the official tournament sponsor.

Missing from the equation was a Waterhall team since both their Apes Hill and Williams Industries teams were knocked out in the preliminary round of one of the most spectacular series which was won by Simon Holley's, Ocho Rios. This Sunday, Waterhall would be looking to change this equation in this the final series of the season.

Patron of Waterhall, Sir Charles said that this season for Waterhall has been tremendous. "Waterhall has had the most competitive and highest goal games staged in Barbados this year. We are extremely proud of the season's success. The crowds of spectators were excellent and they were treated to high class polo from some of the world's best international players.

This last series, sponsored by Digicel will be something special as well. It will be a ten goal series so we will be giving some of our younger and lesser goal players a change to play and we will be welcoming the Hutleys to Barbados.

The husband and wife team of Edward and Lu Lu Hutley will be playing for Wintershall along with professionals Jack Kidd and Ross Ainsley. Lu Lu who is an old school friend of Lady Williams will be the first female player at Waterhall for the season. She and her husband make a formidable team having played the entire season in England in 8 and 10 goals polo. Playing out of Cowdrey Park they have won a number of titles between them. They will be playing on the same high class ponies featured in last week's matches"

The Waterhall team coming up against Wintershall will include Jamie Dickson (4 goals), Danny Atwell (4 gaols), Richard Gooding (2 goals) and Oliver Williams (0 goals).

Local entertainer, Rosie Hunte who created a frenzy last Sunday after the match is expected to be back again with another captivating performance.
